Clos Maggiore is officially the most romantic restaurant in London; located in the heart of Covent Garden. Clos Maggiore is a French fine dining restaurant with their well known blossom ceiling conservatory of which you will need to book months in advanced! I am being serious; I booked 2 months in advance to get a table for 2 in June so if you want to propose; impress a date or just soak in the experience; don’t think about it and just book. You have 2 months to think about attending or not! We were the first guests to arrive for the lunch hour so we managed to get some lovely snaps of the conservatory! It is absolutely stunning; the mirrors around the conservatory gives the illusion that the restaurant is a lot bigger than it actually is. The reason why you have to book months in advanced for a table in the conservatory is because there are only 7 tables (if I remember correctly). However, there is an upstairs dining room and tables outside the conservatory; but you would want to dine in the conservatory!
We decided to opt for the set lunch menu and I ordered the lamb dish which is no longer available on the lunch menu! It was absolutely delicious with my side dish of wilted spinach presented in a rose gold sauce pan. For desserts; I had the shattered meringue cheesecake with raspberry coulis (again not available in the menu). I think they like to switch up their menu now and again which is refreshing and to entice you to come back and sample their new menu.
